Frank Keith Chamberlain

OFDA received word this afternoon that Frank Keith Chamberlain, age 68, of Lima, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006. After receiving his funeral director and embalmer license from CCMS in 1960, he became affiliated with Siferd Funeral Home for 35 years, serving 20 years as general Manager and 10 years as President of the firm. In 1992 he and his wife Jean, along with David Huckeriede, started the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home on North Cable Road, building it up to one of the largest funeral homes in northwest Ohio.

Mr. Chamberlain was very involved in funeral service; he along with Jim Chiles formed the Funeral Service Information Bureau which he served as President. He was also involved in the 3rd District of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association as President, serving on the OFDA Board of Directors for 4 years and was also elected as a delegate at large serving 4 additional years for OFDA. His love for people and helping people in time of need was his strongest asset.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Johnson) Chamberlain; sons, F. Stephen (Debra) and Timothy Allan(Lisa) Chamberlain; foster son, William (Lisa) Foster; grandchildren, Andrew, Victoria, Adam and Brian Chamberlain and Andrea, Rebecca and Billy Foster; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima. Visitation will be held at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, 920 North Cable Road, Lima from 2:00 8:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2006.

Memorial donations may be made in Frank's memory to the charity of choice.
