Louis Joseph Lauricella, Jr.

OFDA received word this afternoon that Louis Joseph Lauricella, Jr., 57, of Kettering passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2008 at Hospice surrounded by family after brief struggle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Jordan, and nephew, Chuck Lauricella. Louis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna; daughter, Molly (Steve) Wowk; son, Joe (Theresa) Lauricella; grandson, Adam Wowk; father, Louis Lauricella Sr.; sisters, Patricia (Harry) Roberts & family, Suzette Stalter & family; brothers, Mike (Pat) Lauricella & family, Jerry (Mary) Lauricella & family, Chuck (Cheryl) Lauricella & family, Tim Jordan and Jimmy Jordan; brother-in-laws, Bob (Maryetta) Johnson & family and Gary Johnson; special friends, Skip & Carol Newbery & family and Angie Tyler, Evangeline Jones & family, and numerous relatives and friends.

Louis started working at Tobias Funeral Home in April of 1979 where he worked loyally until his death. He also worked part time at Ladd and Carter during tax season for many years and a former employee of St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was a member of John Pirelli Lodge 1633 of the Order of Sons of Italy in America.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at10 am Monday, December 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Prayers 9:30 am Monday at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue. Friends may call Sunday, December 28 from 4 8 pm at the funeral home.

His family would like to thank Kettering Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to his family to help with medical expenses.
