Obituary for H. Barth Littleton

Father of Susan Littleton Kempner and Roger Littleton, grandfather of Ashlee Bramel

H. Barth Littleton, age 86, passed peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday morning, December 22, 2016. 

Born in Sabina on March 4, 1930, Barth was the only child of Willa K. Zindell and Roger L. Littleton. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 65 years, Carol McClung Littleton. 

Barth was a graduate of Sabina High School, attended Wilmington College and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.  He was a passionate member of his community and served as a funeral director for over 60 years at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina.  Barth was a member of the Sabina Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, the horse patrol for the Clinton County Shrine, and the Sabina Moose Lodge.  Barth loved farming and was an avid lover of all animals.  He was a generous man with a heart of gold. 

Barth is survived by his children: Susan Littleton Kempner, Jayme (Albert) Matulevich, Roger (Laurie) Littleton, and Diane (Mark) Bramel.  Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: Ryan Littleton, Erin (Andrew) Hoge, Jesse (Amanda) Littleton, Justin (Teryn) Bramel, Ashlee Bramel, Joy Littleton, Chelsea Bramel, Jordan Matulevich and Aaron Matulevich; along with great-grandchildren, who adored him, Hazel, Calvin, Mabel, Evelyn, and Cora. 

Family received friends at Littleton Funeral Home, on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2-7pm.  Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will follow at the Sabina Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions are strongly suggested to Community Care Hospice in Wilmington, The Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati, and the American Legion, Post 49 Bus Fund.
