Important Continuing Education Information for This Compliance Period
CE Required Topic Clarification |
|
OFDA is committed to providing clear and comprehensive information on this topic. The key change to understand is that "Preneed Ethics Principles" now represents/replaces the previous "Preneed" category. The Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors’ (OBEFD) goal is to shift the focus of continuing education away from product and service promotions and move towards the ethical considerations related to preneed arrangements. OBEFD remains dedicated to ensuring all courses and programs are relevant, informative, and educational, rather than commercial in nature. Please note that this required topic category has decreased from 2-Hours to 1-Hour. OBEFD has updated its website to reflect the required topic categories’ requirements HERE. OBEFD will be designating CE programs qualifying for the “1-hr Preneed Ethics Principles” category with a “P” in the program number. OBEFD approved CE programs can be located HERE. |
