Byron D. Spooner age 97, beloved husband of Elaine (nee Diamond); father of Cindy Sears (Don - Deceased), Mike (Sharon), and Byron (Jan); grandfather of Hallie Coughlin (John), Alex Spooner (Taylor), Mike Spooner (Julie), Alexis Cox (Austin), and Elaina Spooner; great-grandfather of 10; brother of the late Ramon Spooner and Phyllis Dunn; son of the late Michael and Venezia Spooner. Byron was a Proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He was the former owner of the White Oaks restaurant in Westlake, a longtime member of St. Demetrios Church, a lifelong member of Westwood Country Club, a past president of the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce, a 50-year licensed funeral director, an avid baseball player and coach, as well as a terrific golfer. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22909 Center Ridge Rd. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
